Stand GC 9/10/19

Well done once again to all players who played in atrocious conditions at Stand yesterday , not too many courses would have survived the deluge we have had in recent weeks so a big thanks to Stand GC for getting us on ! Top score over 15 holes were Joe Donnelly & Graham Martin on 40 points- 10 better !! Leading seniors were Phil Hanson & Chris Blackadder and top Supers were Alan Davies & Brian Catterall. In the pro section home pro Mark Hancock prevailed on 32 points. Next week we are at KIRKBY LONSDALE for the season finale 4 man team event - it's a shotgun start at 1.00 so please arrive early to get to your tee. Four man team/AGM

The four Man team event & AGM has now been rescheduled for Wednesday, October 16th @ Kirkby Lonsdale GC and is a 1:00 shotgun start.

Stand 9/10/19

This weeks competition at Stand is ON... please be advised that morning starters will be teeing off approx 15 mins LATER than usual with afternoon players approx 60 mins EARLIER to ensure we all get round ! Texts have been sent to afternoon groups to ensure you are aware of your exact teetimes. Let's hope for some decent weather. John & Tony

Clitheroe GC

A big thanks to Peter Geddes head Greenkeeper at Clitheroe and his staff for getting the course in great condition for this weeks alliance , a remarkable achievement considering the incessant rain in the previous 24 hours. Winners of this years alliance championship cup were Malcolm Hodson & Anthony Sproston on 45 points. Top seniors were Chaz Lean & Dave Harrop with Joe Donnelly & Graham Martin winning the supers section. In the pro section Mark Young prevailed win a fine -3, 39 points. Well done to all the winners- next week we are at Pike Fold for the 4 man team SHOTGUN START AT 1-00PM please arrive early to get to your allocated tees. Regards Tony & John

Bolton Old Links 18/9/19

A rare Wednesday with no rain in this weeks alliance saw home club scratch men Steve Bryan & Matt Buckley waltz round in 45 points to narrowly take top prize at a superb BOL. Top seniors were Rick Fairclough & Duncan Beilby with Alan Lay and Graham Partington taking the supers prize. In the pro section Colin Maroney scored a creditable 69 = 39 points to take the cash. Next week we are Clitheroe where afternoon starters will go 20 mins earlier than usual. See you all there. Tony & John

Marsden Park GC

Rain on & off for most of the day did not stop some impressive scoring in the alliance at Marsden this week. Top player on the day was Ryan O'Neill who's -6,64 easily won the pro section and in combination with Steve Moores he won the pairs section too. Top seniors were Harry Kakoullis and Steve Booth with Ian Singleton and Pat Houston grabbing the supers section prize. A big thanks to Marsdens Neil and Trudy Reeves along with chef Mark who provided a superb barbecue which brightened up a miserable day weatherwise. Well done to all players who embraced the dress in colour theme- best or worst dressed on the day went to Abdul Asaria with Malcolm Wells a distant second ! See you all at Deane next week.
